===== Original Post Below =====

Thanks to this past weekend’s major turnout, we’re hosting a new, extended playtest this coming weekend.

We’re playtesting Tyr again starting May 8th, 2026, at 12:00 PM PT, and it’s slated to run until May 9th, 2026, at 6:00 PM PT.

This is a 30-hour playtest, and it’s the longest playtest we’ve ever done. Start and end times in your timezone are below.

TimezoneStart TimeEnd Time
Pacific Time (PT)12:00 PM (May 8)06:00 PM (May 9)
Eastern Time (ET)03:00 PM (May 8)09:00 PM (May 9)
UTC / GMT07:00 PM (May 8)01:00 AM (May 10)
Paris/Berlin (CEST)09:00 PM (May 8)03:00 AM (May 10)
Singapore/China (SGT/CST)03:00 AM (May 9)09:00 AM (May 10)
Tokyo (JST)04:00 AM (May 9)10:00 AM (May 10)

Auckland (NZST)07:00 AM (May 9)01:00 PM (May 10)

Why are we hosting an extended playtest so soon?

A few reasons…Steam post image

  1. We had, by far, the largest attendance for any playtest this past weekend, and we feel now’s a great time to experiment with expanding the playtest window.Steam post image

  2. We weren’t quite ready for the massive turnout this past weekend, and players dealt with some server struggles at the start of the playtest. We believe we have those problems solved, but we want to test our approach.Steam post image

  3. Our community (that’s you!) has shared again and again that you want more playtesting Tyr, and so do we.

Important note: this playtest will not include any new content. It’ll run on the same build as the most recent playtest, and we’ll only have Standard Queues open for the duration to ensure server stability.

How to join

If you’re not already a playtester for Tyr, you’ve got two ways in:

  1. Request access on Steam. It’s random, but we admit players in growing waves ahead of each playtest.

  2. Ask for an invite in our Discord. Our community has access to invites that provide instant playtest admission.
