Today, we’re announcing that Tyr is entering Early Access this summer 2026 with a new trailer.

Why Early Access?

We’re going into Early Access for two big reasons:

  1. Constant server uptime for our growing community. Playtests are great, but they’re intermittent by design. Early Access lets Tyr be there whenever you want to play, not just during a test window.

  2. More feedback from an even larger audience. Tyr gets better every time more players get hands-on. Early Access means more matches and more real-world feedback across skill levels, regions, and playstyles.

Playtests will continue until release

We’re not stopping playtests between now and release. They’re still one of the fastest ways for us to validate changes, gather feedback, and stress specific features before they hit the soon-to-be-always-on servers.

Not a playtester yet? You have two ways to join.

  1. You can register for access on our Steam page. We randomly admit players in waves before the playtests begin.

  2. You can join our Discord and ask for an invite in the #-invite-sharing channel. Our community has plenty and can provide you with a link for instant access.

If you’ve already been in our playtests, thank you. Seriously. You’ve helped shape Tyr into what it is today, and you’re a big part of why we feel ready to take the next step.

We’re thrilled to bring more players into the loop and give everyone more time in the game to help us keep tuning Tyr.
