Changed Content

  • General

    • The game will now autosave after every level has been completed

    • Some jumps have been nerfed to reduce unfairness

    • Spike collision masks reduced in size to feel more fair and not cause deaths where the player doesn’t think they’ve hit the spike

    • It wasn’t obvious which platforms were “crumbling” platforms until the player landed on it, now, the sprite of crumbling platforms shows the first step of the crumble by default

    • Save files are now deleted upon game completion to prevent loading and writing multiple entries to the leaderboard for the same run

    • New music after killing a boss

    • New music after completing the game

    • The dark green colour commonly used to text elements has been lightened

    • Changed wording from “KOs” to “Elims” on the end of level score screen

  • Woodlands

    • 1-3: Extended a platform so the player no longer has to leap of faith possibly to their death

  • Streets

    • Updated the room between levels in the Streets zone to contain the updated tileset

    • 2-3Updated the signpost text to show the buttons required to perform a downwards jump
  • Pond

    • The boss felt a bit too vulnerable, especially with max damage bonus modifier, boss health has been increased from 500 to 600

    • Snails took too long to attack, this timer has been reduced from 180ms to 120 ms

    • During the spot the difference mini-game, the time each item spent on screen before being hidden was harsh, this has been increased by 50%

    • This zone was lacking collectibles, more have been added

Bug Fixes

  • Another attempt has been made at the “getting stuck in the side of platforms” issue, hopefully it’s resolved now

  • Previously if you loaded game, your name was not written to the leaderboard upon completion - this has been resolved

  • A bug was discovered where the Parry Hotter achievement could be unlocked through one enemy shooting another, this has been resolved.

  • Fixed an issue where if the player’s controller disconnected on the menu screen, the game broke. Note: There is still frame drop when a bluetooth controller connects or disconnects, this is a known issue with Game Maker and cannot be helped, see https://github.com/YoYoGames/GameMaker-Bugs/issues/5389 for more information

  • Beach mini-game walls were the wrong sprite
