addeda major physics & aerodynamics rework, - a complete overhaul of visuals and audio for greater realism, - analog and digital effect with optional input delay, - pilot-view audio with speed-of-sound, distance-based reverb, and more. Racing has also been fully redesigned, and this update brings new content, including two real-world spots (you’ll probably recognize one of them), new races including an official iFlight collaboration, and nearly 30 new challenges ranging from beginner to hardcore.
changedThis major update also improves stability, readability, and performance, includes many fixes, and we’d love to hear your feedback.
changedThe goal of this update is to prepare TRYP FPV for upcoming major features, such as multiplayer (already in beta), the map editor, refactory of UI, etc.
addedMore details : ༄ NEW AERODYNAMIC MANAGEMENTWe’ve never gone this far in a drone simulator 🔥 - thanks to ONERA's Data and +90 beta testers feedbacks. This update is fixing and improving aerodyanmics behaviour with a drag and lift management for each components of the drone, and with air flow improvment into the propeller. You will immedtialy feel the difference and the accuracy We still do not consider our physics to 1.0, as our PHYSICS MATCHER System is not yet deployed, and the customisation experience need more rework - use the simplified physics factor for an easy tweak. Adding the sag, battery and damages management is very important for us and on the road. Tinywhoops, big drones, and more components on the way - ROAD TO V1 !
added⭕ New ChallengesMany new challenges of all levels ( +23 from pro to hardcore ) have been added to test your lines and precision, featuring brand-new layouts across large maps and San Carlo .

🗼NEW REAL SPOTS : EIFFEL TOWER and HUIYANG

Steam post image

  • TRYP FPV now features an iconic location: the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars.

A dream playground, recreated for unique urban flights unlike anything else. Get ready to weave through the gardens, skim along iron pillars, and carve lines beneath one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. As long as it’s in our simulator : it’s legal!

  • We also introduce a real-world spot in China, created to host the official race track in collaboration with iFlight.

⭕ New Challenges

  • Many new challenges of all levels (+23 from pro to hardcore) have been added to test your lines and precision, featuring brand-new layouts across large maps and San Carlo.

  • Difficulty categories have been fully redesigned with clearer naming, and a global rebalance better reflects the true difficulty of each challenge.

🏁 New Races

Steam post image

  • A special race joins the lineup: the official track of “The 7th iFlight Drone Racing Competition 2025”, held in Huiyang.

  • New races are also available around the Eiffel Tower and its surroundings, as well as on other maps, pushing speed and precision to the limit.

📊 Overall Stabilization

We conducted a real “war on bugs” to eliminate many issues affecting fluidity and overall experience.

  • Large portions of the codebase were cleaned and restructured, removing obsolete systems and unifying inconsistent behaviors.

  • This work makes the simulator more stable, more performant, and allows us to develop faster and cleaner moving forward.

🎨 Visual & Technical Overhaul of Races & Challenges

Race visuals have been deeply reworked to be more readable, coherent, and immersive:

  • Reworked holographic racing line: clearer and more visible to better anticipate your lines

  • New gate visualsimproved holograms with refined and more dynamic lighting effects
  • Audio feedback when passing a gate with a better time

  • 100% reliable gate detection, even on low-FPS configurations

  • New universal indicator: a dynamic arrow now points to the next active gate during runs

  • Internal overhaul of leaderboards and ghost systems for smoother, more stable, and better-synced racing experiences

🎧 Sound Immersion: A New Level of Realism

This update introduces a complete sound experience overhaul, designed to enhance flight sensations and the satisfaction of perfect immersion.

  • New “Line of Sight” feature: experience sound as if perceived from the takeoff point With Doppler effects, distance-based volume, natural reverb, and delay, the drone’s sound evolves realistically with speed and distance

  • Reworked gate pass sounds for clearer and more immersive feedback

  • New audio combo system: chain gates smoothly to trigger dynamic sound progression

  • Improved propeller sound design for greater realism and closer IRL setups

  • Fixes for scenario sound bugs and multiple adjustments to balance the overall audio experience

🥽 New FPV Views effect : Analog vs Digital

  • Digital mode: clean, sharp, modern visuals

  • Analog mode: grainy, authentic FPV rendering

  • Optional input delay simulation to get even closer to real-life sensations (~5 ms for analog, ~25–30 ms for digital)

🌤️ Lighting & Atmospheres

  • Complete lighting reworkdarker, more contrasted interiors for increased realism
  • New weather variations to diversify ambiances

  • Fix for meshes appearing black in Global Illumination at Epic quality

🛠️ Bug Fixes & Optimizations

A long list of fixes to improve stability and consistency, including:

  • Fixed scenarios that wouldn’t restart correctly

  • Fixed the infamous 🐬 dolphin abuse — we know some pilots used it to gain positions… not anymore!

  • Fixed missing collisions on Rüdersdorf, Alizol, San Carlo, and Lost Temple

  • Fixed crashes related to Fisheye and FOV settings

  • Activity launch gates are now hidden by default (can still be re-enabled manually)

  • Fixed challenge completion percentages exceeding 100%

  • Fixed scenario sound bugs

  • Asset corrections and minor visual adjustments

  • Various performance and stability tweaks

This progress is possible thanks to the community and all your feedback. TRYP FPV is built with one goal in mind: Setting a new standard for FPV simulation.

Keep sharing your impressions on Discord or Steam: every piece of feedback is read, processed, and helps us move in the right direction.

We’ll be back very soon with more updates.

Fly safe, and see you in the skies! The TRYP FPV Team 🚀
