Truck City changes
Cape Canaveral
The Cape Canaveral map has been added to the Mission Mode map pool!
The Cape Canaveral mission provides you with the necessary buildings to launch the rocket, $14,000 for a fast start, and many pre-researched science to speed-up your trucks and factories. This mission provides experienced players with the tools to bypass early game and jump directly into competing for the first place in the Leaderboard.
As with other missions, Cape Canaveral unlocks a new achievement when completed.
Version 1.1
This new mission is included in version 1.1 of Truck City, which also includes every incremental improvement patched into version 1.0. See below a list of some of those improvements, fixes, and new features added since release:
- Featureadded an option to limit the FPS (Options, Video Settings). In v1.0 the game tried to limit itself to vertical sync frequency (monitor frequency) but if this option is disabled in the GPU options then the game was rendered at 240FPS ( thank you MrFraxis ).
- Featureadded option to enable or disable screen border mouse scroll ( thank you Earth McFlat )
- Featureadded option to disable autosaving
- Featureadded option to configure the default Alt Mode
Improvement: autosave is never selected by default in the save menu, instead the loaded savegame is selected (or the last savegame that is not an autosave)
- Bugfixsome achievements were not triggered if the player became disconnected from Steam during victory, fixed.
Balance: Curonian Spit mission has been made easier by increasing the initial amount of money (1800 -> 2500) and making Truck Speed lv 6 pre-researched (thank you dePoPo).
- BalanceGrid City mission difficulty lowered, making the objective to sell $200,000 instead of $1,000,000
- BalanceCurionian Spit: some items can't be bought anymore; patch v1.0.3 increased the inital amout of money, which may enable the player to rush to research just buying everything and completely ignoring city building.
- Balancelowered cost of Quantum science production buildings from 500 to 400
- Bugfixfixed a problem resuming research when loading a new game
- Bugfixcorrected obscure bug which caused science window to become impossible to close if inspecting the full dependency graph after clicking on a container icon, then used right click to close the full dependency graph.
- BugfixLeaderboard button in main menu is now disabled until the boards are loaded. Prevents a bug where only partially loaded leaderboards would be shown
Improvement: completed missions show up in green in the menu (thank you Earth McFlat)
- Improvementincreased width of cargo selection control in the truck window
- Improvementtraffic light overlay only appears if the selection tool is enabled
Feature: parking spots in Truck depots now show red stripes if they are reserved by incoming trucks. These spots will not be usable by other trucks, even if they are empty.
- Featureadded information on reserved parking spots in the Truck depot window.
Improvement: modified the incoming trucks column for produced containers in the factory window (thank you Nneu). The old interface made it confusing to understand the total amount of incoming trucks.
Improvement: less floaty middle mouse panning
Improvement: load, save, and leaderboard item lists now play an SFX when items are clicked
- Bugfixadded missing SFX in the UI
Improvement: audio configuration now differentiates between Game SFX (truck and factories noises, etc) and UI SFX (clicks, hover, etc)
Improvement: minor GPU VRAM usage reduction
- BugfixGDP calculation corrected
