Trials of Valor changes
Another week, another update!
This week, we added an effect that tells you when an enemy executes an unblockable move. We also added some new Elite enemies that appears in all Chapters.
Just like last week, here's a sneak-peek at the new enemy types.
Bastion
This guy can be a real end-runner. Try to figure out a strategy to beat him, because he will mess you up 😁
Bastion has three variations based on the current chapter, each variation comes with some new moves.
Elite Werewolf
This Werewolf has learned some new tricks.
Visibility in fight
Just like last week, we continued our work on improving visibility in fights. We tweaked some more effects, including "Rain of Arrows" (as reported by a user). Said effect will be more transparent and less distracting.
Crow / Crow's Cathedral
We made some improvements to the boss fight in Chapter 1. We altered the lighting and improved Crow's projectiles to make them easier to see.
Chapter III rework
The map is much smaller now, consisting of just 3 portal nodes. To compensate this change, we made fights more dangerous and also made one Elite fight spawn with an extra +, meaning you can either enjoy a harder fight or do your best to avoid that lane entirely.
Unblockable attacks
When an enemy executes an unblockable attack, a distinct Visual Effect will trigger and a sound will play, warning you that the next attack is unblockable. We hope this will help players better predict when to block vs evade.
Here's a list of some other improvements we made.
A new Greater Charm (More coming soon)
The "Bulwark" enemy has a Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 variation now, with new moves.
Altered the possible nodes that can spawn on Chapter 3, to make picking the center lane more enticing.
Removed some easy fights from Chapter III, to make fights more dangerous and fun.
Buffed the "Blood Mage" set to heal 10 on Evade instead of 5.
Made "Permanent Bleed" deal slightly less damage and increased the duration between damage ticks.
Fixed the "Restorative" armor set modifier to not have green text, as the green text made it look like you had that effect active at all times.
Improved the UI to show your current charms while the "Charm reward window" is active / Ability reward window.
Improved the UI to allow you to see your current stats the "Charm reward window" is active / Ability reward window.
Improved the UI to allow hovering an ability on your bar to see its effect while the "Ability reward window" is open.
