The most important issue that can also be addressed relatively quickly is the game’s pacing. Some players are happy with it - in fact, some even say the game is “short” - but judging by the majority of reviews, it is a problem for many people.

We are already working on a patch that will address this in two ways: one more obvious and one more subtle.

The more obvious change: the revised balance will simply allow players to progress through the game faster. According to my estimates, completing the entire game will take about two-thirds of the time it currently does.

The more subtle change: the game will receive an optional hint system that will help players understand which skills deserve the most attention. At the moment, the amount of time it takes players to reach the final ending varies greatly - from 3.5 to 8.5 hours.

We believe one of the main reasons is that players who are experienced with similar games figure out which upgrades they need much faster, so they do not get stuck in long periods of grinding. I expect that some players will prefer to disable these hints, and they will be able to do so.

There are two reasons why this update is not in the game yet.

First, it still needs some polishing and testing. However, it is almost ready.

Second, there are currently some technical issues on Steam’s side that are making it difficult for me to update the game.

In any case, I sincerely hope that I will be able to release the update within the next few days. This mostly depends on Steam rather than on me.

Yes, I understand that many players would like to see new content. However, that will take considerably more time. I will be able to return to it later, once I have fixed the issues that are currently preventing many players from fully enjoying the game.

I’ll be sure to post a separate news update as soon as the update goes live in the game.
