Bugfixes
Villagers no longer magically teleport trash to their hands if assigned to different jobs then re-assigned to trash pick-up.
Villagers no longer freeze and become unresponsive when picking up trash while having trash already in their hands.
Villagers no longer refuse to pick up trash in general.
What is next?
I will be working on doing some quality of life tweaks/balance pass. I aim to have this done tomorrow or the day after. I might break it up into smaller updates to get them out faster.
Some of the quality of life issues I plan to tackle for this upcoming patch are...
More responsiveness for the mouse. Highlighting stuff you're hovering over and a visual to confirm you're clicking on things.
A job board so you can see who is assigned to what.
Keep your villagers assigned to trash duty permanently until you assign them to something else. They wont reset themselves to idle if there is no trash.
Villagers will slowly die if you run out of food instead of you just straight up losing the game.
Villagers should be more responsive when you switch jobs. Right now there's like a 1-2 second pause when they switch. I want to make them more snappy.
In the near future (next week probably) I'll aim to have a guided experience for new players that explains the game way better.
Balance pass would probably include nerfing the farm values just a little. At the moment it's way too easy to just get food.
I'll keep the patches coming as fast as I can! There's a lot on my list to improve and fix. Thanks again for playing and wishlisting!
