🦝 Raccoon Selection & Customization

  • New Customization Menu: We’ve hooked up a basic customization menu on the main screen. You can now select your favorite raccoon skin and pick the accent color for your collar.

🗺️ The World & Loot

  • PiñatasAdded breakable piñatas as loot drops around the world. They react just like bee hives, giving you a completely non-lethal target to practice your throwing skills on.
  • Guaranteed Trash Loot: We’ve ensured that every single trash can in the game now contains at least one item. No more empty cans.

  • Debris CleanupUpdated the fake debris that flies out of trash cans. It will no longer look like valuable items (no more fake corn dogs teasing you), it fades away less obviously, and it has a strict speed limit so it can't be launched into low earth orbit anymore.
  • See-Saw Physics: We made the see-saw physics much more consistent, making them significantly less lethal to play on.

  • Biting FixFixed an awkward bug where the raccoon would magically float in the air when biting to open certain kitchen cabinets.

🐕 Dog

  • Total Infiltration: Dogs can now navigate both inside and underneath the house. Nowhere is safe.

  • Smarter Pathfinding: Rebuilt the dog's pathfinding so they no longer get confused about whether they are standing on the ground or floating in a void.

  • Distraction Mechanics: Dogs will now actively alert and react if you hit them with a thrown object. Use at your own risk.

🎶 Audio

  • Raccoon NoisesHooked up brand-new sounds for landing, jumping, throwing, picking up items, dropping items, biting, and eating. We even added an activation sound when you point at things!
  • Item AudioAdded a symphony of new sounds for attaching/detaching tools, the carabiner, armed bear traps, vending machines, and whoopee cushions.
  • World AudioAdded new impact sounds for pushable logs and generic objects. Doors and gates now have proper creaky sounds depending on how fast they swing open. We also added truck drive-by sounds!
  • Combat AudioAdded distinct hit and miss sound effects for player attacks, and updated the nailgun firing sound.
  • Music MixesMoved the dubstep music into the proper Music mixer and lowered its default volume so it doesn't blow out your eardrums. The game will also now correctly mute itself if you open the Steam overlay.

🖥️ UI, Controls & Settings

  • Camera DistanceAdded a brand new "Camera Distance" option to the settings menu.
  • Look Behind ButtonAdded a dedicated "Look Behind" button (Left Control / Right Stick Press). It flips the camera instantly while inverting your forward movement so you can keep running away from danger without slowing down.
  • Sensitivity Renamed: Renamed "Mouse Sensitivity" to "Look Sensitivity" because it now properly affects gamepad look speed as well.

  • Resolution Dropdown: The screen resolution option is now a proper, functional dropdown menu.

  • Steam Deck & Focus FixesFixed an issue where the Steam Deck D-pad wasn't working correctly. Also, if a UI menu ever accidentally loses focus on a controller, it will automatically snap back and refocus so you don't get stuck.
  • Binding Overhaul: Re-mapped the "rotate item" bindings to match the "pointing" bindings to keep the controls simpler. The "Fire Nail" prompt now correctly shows up when holding the nailgun.

  • Slider SanityFixed the option sliders so they only beep when the value actually changes, rather than screaming for every single pixel you slide them.

⚙️ Performance & Tech

  • Memory Footprint: Made significant memory footprint reductions by adjusting texture sizes, read/write settings, and quality levels across the board.

  • Dynamic ScalabilityThe game will now automatically disable fur rendering and grass displacement if your GPU struggles to support it. We also added a startup check that warns you if your graphics card is completely incompatible.
  • Raccoon-Centric LOS: Interaction line-of-sight checks now originate from the raccoon instead of the camera, making it easier to select items while under short furniture.

  • Cosmetic Persistence: Cosmetics will now drop correctly if a player disconnects from the game.

  • Donut CleanupFixed an issue where multiple donuts would accidentally spawn attached to the cart at start. We also fixed eaten donuts leaving behind ghost particle effects.
