π Critical Noble Interaction Bug Fixed
Thanks to your feedback and bug reports, we were able to quickly identify and resolve a critical issue that could completely block game progression. We greatly appreciate everyone who took the time to share detailed reports and help us track down the problem.
In certain situations, nobles with a negative relationship toward the player could still trigger interaction events. Although the noble would refuse to speak, the event chain would fail to resolve correctly, preventing progression and leaving players stuck in the arena, bathhouse, or other systems.
This issue could manifest in several different ways:
Encountering a noble with a negative relationship would close the dialogue window, but the player would be unable to proceed to the arena.
Interactions in the Bathhouse and other noble-related events could fail to complete, causing progression to stop.
In some cases, defeating every enemy in the arena would not complete the encounter, leaving the player trapped inside the arena.
Entering and leaving Training Mode could cause unexpected behavior in certain noble interactions and merchant systems.
We have completely reworked the interaction flow and fixed the issue that allowed negatively aligned nobles to block game progression.
With this update, all known scenarios related to noble relationships causing progression locks have been resolved. If you encounter anything similar in the future, please continue sending us your feedback and bug reports.
π New Features
In this update, we've made major changes to the Noble System to make each run feel more dynamic and unpredictable. Our goal is to create more unique stories and make noble relationships a meaningful part of your journey.
Choosing a Noble Card will now affect your standing with rival noble factions. Depending on the relationships you build, various events may occur throughout your run, bringing both benefits and drawbacks.
Noble Cards no longer appear in level-up rewards. Instead, they can now appear throughout the game based on your current relationships and a variety of other factors.
For example, a noble may occasionally invite you to the Bathhouse for free and grant you access to a special Noble Card. On the other hand, if your relationship with Cultus Nocturnus is poor, other gladiators might steal your boots and leave you at a disadvantage.
The Merchant now provides slightly fewer resources under normal circumstances. However, maintaining good relationships with noble factions can grant access to their exclusive potions, offering powerful new opportunities.
Nobles are no longer tied to specific days and can now appear throughout the entire game. It's possible to encounter them even during the early stages of a run, creating new opportunities and events much sooner.
Ferrum Pactum's companion recruitment feature can now appear in the first arena. This allows you to recruit a soldier early in your run and develop them through Bathhouse rewards and Merchant upgrades, potentially keeping them by your side until the very end.
We're continuing to expand and improve the Noble Relationship System. Future updates will introduce additional events, rewards, penalties, and interactions tied to your relationships with the noble factions.
π Bug Fixes & Improvements
Fixed an issue that could cause the game to freeze while watching skill preview videos.
Updated various UI elements to better support and display the Noble Relationship System.
The first miniboss was able to perform two consecutive red attacks, creating situations where taking damage after a successful dodge was almost unavoidable. This attack has been removed, making the encounter fairer and more consistent.
