Tokyo Underground Killer is joining the Steam Winter Sale, and to celebrate, we’re rolling out Version 1.2, a quality-focused update aimed at making the experience smoother, clearer, and more accessible — whether you’re jumping in for the first time or coming back for another run.
🆕 New & Improved
📖 Visual Novel Mode You can now experience Tokyo Underground Killer in a brand-new Visual Novel mode, offering a more relaxed, story-focused way to dive into the game’s narrative and atmosphere.
🗡️ Executioner Mode Tutorial Executioner Mode is a core mechanic, and we’ve made sure it’s easier to understand:
A dedicated tutorial has been added during Mission 01
A new HUD indicator now clearly shows when Executioner Mode is ready to use
🛠️ Fixes & Tweaks
Fixed an issue where post-processing effects could change after completing an Arcade Mission and returning to the hub
Limited the maximum flying height of Tengu Flatliners during Arcade Missions
Combat balance adjustments for Mission 4
Improved timing for the end credits
