Hello Detectives!

After almost exactly one month, we're back with another update. This time we're bringing two major improvements to Timeshift Detective which we're happy to announce.

First, we freshened up the visual style a bit, overhauling how we utilize lighting and colors to create a more atmospheric and moody environment. You can see some before and after examples of the visual update below.

Second, we added a full voiceover to each and every dialogue or monologue in the game. This lends some more personality to our characters and reduces the amount of mandatory reading for those of you less inclined to do so. Unfortunately, we can't show you that in a gif. But hopefully you won't have to wait too long before we can present you some video content including audio bits!

But wait, there is more:

  • Made Bernstein's apartment more chaotic

  • Added the Mysteries UI, making it easier to remember unsolved mysteries

  • Added the option to skip cutscenes and previously heard dialogues

  • Added a contextual marker to questions in the notebook which indicates an unresolved confrontation

  • A location's name is now shown after entering it

  • The pause menu now uses regular gameplay as its background

  • Tweaked the texts of some dialogues

  • Various bugfixes
