TIME COWBOY changes
There has been a lot added, changed and fixed.
TLDR:
Era 3 Added (11 new levels, 6 new enemies, new weapon, 9 new music tracks, taunts & cutscenes)
Era 2 Secret Levels added
Era 1 Revamped
Weapon Recoil Added (Yellowbelly is exempt)
Settings Menu & SFX Overhaul
Yellowbelly rebalanced
After: Bug Fixes -> Break -> Final Era Development
Beginning with the main event,
Era 3:
After jumping into the portal at the end of Era 2, Hank ends up in the Roaring 20s.
Running and Gunning through The Gray City, and meeting a suspiciously helpful, yet cocky, Mobster.
Era 3 contains 11 new and unique levels, with 6 new Enemies, a new weapon, 9 new jazz inspired music tracks and completely new Taunts and Cutscenes.
Other Major Changes:
Era 1 Revamp:
Era 1 has received a face lift, now with dead grass and cactuses,
a good amount of levels have been cleaned up to be up to par with Era 2 & 3's Levels.
Though if you dislike the environmental stuff, you can disable it in the settings.
Era 2 Revamp/Update:
Era 2 was missing secret levels, cause I didn't want to push unfinished/rushed levels.
Here's a hint for the entrance to the Secret Levels:
Before the Middle of a second Era
Go to the top of the Structure opened with a Red Key
There lies the answer you'll need.
It also has received a minor facelift, with lava instead of blue/black voids and mountains.
Certain sections of levels have been removed/reworked for better pacing.
As well, The Knight has gotten a bit of a rework to be more aggressive and less idle.
Weapon Recoil:
This is something that's technically been in the game, just not implemented properly.
It should give combat some more punch; though for players playing on Yellowbelly, recoil is disabled.
Settings Menu:
The Setting Menu has been overhauled finally!
Settings are now divided into 5 tabs, Audio, Gameplay, Graphics, Performance and Controls.
Along with this, new settings have been added:
Heavy Particles Toggle
Heavy Models Toggle
Props Toggle
View-roll Toggle
Weapon-roll Toggle
Hit Limb SFX Toggle
Reset Keybinds
Display Time:
On the Level Select Screen, you'll now be able to see your fastest time on a level.
You'll now be able to see your fastest time on the "View Last Rank" screen and if your new time is faster on the Finished Level Screen.
Saves from before this update will lose the times, but keep your ranks.
As they don't have the data necessary to support this feature.
Sound Update:
A Majority of Weapon SFX has been updated to sound punchier and have more bass!
Since Era 3's new weapon and enemies use more impactful SFX than the original SFX of the first two eras.
As well, there is now a new sound effect that plays whenever you're hitting a limb of an Enemy, which can be disabled if you like.
Yellowbelly:
Yellowbelly has been neglected a bit, as what's supposed to be an easygoing and fun difficulty, can be a little too punishing.
So these changes are for Yellowbelly only and do not apply to other difficulties.
Changes made so far:
The Knight's Slash Attack is now 65% slower
Steel of Man's Soundwave attack no longer occurs
Reduced the Damage of Steel of Man's Blast Attack on Yellowbelly (85 --> 40)
Failing a Parry no longer applies a 25% Increased Damage Intake
Level 18 Wall Chase is now 50% slower
Vampires no longer require the Torch to be visible
Enemies in certain levels have been reduced
Closing Notes:
Era 3 is out now, so what's next?
Next is me moving onto the final Era of TIME COWBOY, Era 4.
I'm not gonna promise anything to not overpromise, but Era 4 will be the most unique Era out of the 3 so far in terms of Enemies, Visuals, Music, etc.
It'll be awhile before you'll get to see it fully though, so if you aren't yet, join the discord!
I do post sneak peeks on there! (As to not clutter your What's New/Activity Feed here on Steam.)
And with that, this is it for now.
Thank you for reading and playing!
