This patch focuses on simplifying gun and consumable scaling, along with adjustments to healing. More drastic balance changes are planned for the upcoming 1.1.0 content update.

Balance Changes

  • Qiling spends less time buffing itself and more time hitting the player party.

  • Cath Palug's health has been increased, but its high damage combo in long fights has been toned down.

  • Removed Stunning Strike from MELCHIOR.

  • Forest Wolves action speed needed a nerf.

  • Punishment now deals a small amount of damage in addition to moving the party.

  • Adjusted how many Advancement Points recruited allies start with.

  • Martial Artist, Mageblade and Commander now have Dexterity-scaling variants.

  • Adjusted the loot tables for many monsters.

  • Adjusted the damage and scaling of damaging throwable consumables.

  • Adjusted the damage and scaling of all guns.

  • Energy Drain now has a range of 1 and requires some Intelligence investment to be effective. It remains powerful, but this should introduce some risk into using it.

  • Minor Mass Heal was nerfed slightly.

  • All healing stances were buffed to get them closer towards the power level of Minor Mass Heal.

  • Lesser Regeneration and Mass Lesser Regeneration heal a little bit more.

  • Reduced the tier of Awaken by one so it is cheaper to learn.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed some dialog formatting issues.

  • Fixed a Berserking targeting issue.

  • Fixed a bug where you could get stuck in the intro.

  • Added larger deadzones for UI navigation to avoid stick drift problems from faulty controllers. If some players still have issues with unintended navigation, check that you don't have any odd input devices enabled (virtual or not).

  • Now if map generation during save loading fails, new events are spawned and the loaded ones can't block the passage forward anymore. This seems to be very rare, so if you notice it happening, we would love to see your player.log file.
