Threshold Sector is out NOW!

After much time and effort I'm happy to finally be able to release Threshold Sector in its complete version! But what exactly is new in this version?

This is a safe area you can upgrade to improve your chances of survival in the Sector. Improving the Hideout requires materials: these are scattered throughout the levels, and you'll need to extract to be able to bring them back home.

But what exactly is new in this version?

Much has changed and much has been added, here is a general overview:

  • The game now features a complete storyline you can follow by completing the various randomly generated "Expeditions". These will take you through all the challenges of the Sector, in an increasingly difficult journey to try and escape the complex.

  • You'll be able to take a break between your Expeditions in your very own Hideout. This is a safe area you can upgrade to improve your chances of survival in the Sector. Improving the Hideout requires materials: these are scattered throughout the levels, and you'll need to extract to be able to bring them back home.

  • There have been multiple quality of life improvements, difficulty tweaking and slight feature reworks that should make for a better experience overall.

  • Lastly, there is also some new content in terms of threats and self defence, but I'll leave this as a "surprise" of sort.

What about the Demo version?

The Demo received an update as well. You can currently play the first expedition with all the new features, updates and improvements. This implies of course some limitations: you won't be able to continue the story or get to your Hideout.

So what now?

It's been a tough and rewarding journey, but it's not over yet: I'm committed to follow this first release with the necessary care and make the game as stable as I possibly can with the time and resources I have.

Together with that, I've already started work on some new content and minor features, which unfortunately is definitely going to take some time and won't be implemented in the near future. I'll try to share updates if/when I can.
