v0.5.8 Update

Hello, I'm the developer of Three Kingdoms: Alias.

This update improves new game setup and ruler succession, city public order management, and late-game performance, while fixing several personnel and battle progression issues.

New Game and Ruler Succession

  • Final Review and Reroll for the Starting Officer Draft After choosing all starting officers, you can review the final roster. Selecting Reroll discards the entire current roster and restarts the full draft, choosing one officer from three candidates at a time. Rerolls have no cost or limit, and only the last confirmed roster will enter service when the campaign begins.

  • Choose a New Ruler After the Ruler's Death When the player ruler dies of natural causes, in battle, by execution, or otherwise, you can personally choose one of your faction's officers as the successor and new ruler.

Bandit Uprising Chance

  • Garrison Troops Suppress Bandit Uprisings Garrison strength now affects the risk of bandit uprisings. Previously, cities with public order of 20 or lower could still face an uprising even with a large garrison. Now, a sufficient garrison can suppress uprisings even at low public order. An uprising chance becomes 0% when a city has 10,000 or more troops stationed there. Hover over the Public Order entry in the city information popup to view the uprising chance.

Mid-to-Late-Game Performance and Other Fixes

  • Improved Mid-to-Late-Game Performance Optimized monthly reports, payroll calculations, and AI persuasion decisions in the mid to late game, when the number of cities and officers grows, to improve turn progression speed.

  • Fixed Defense Battle Progression Lockups Fixed an issue where combat, turn progression, and saving could stop after opening another window, such as officer information, while organizing a defensive force and then returning.

  • Fixed Follow-up Commands from Interview Results Fixed an issue where the result window could freeze or the next result would not appear when issuing another command from an interview result window.

  • Fixed General Position and Recruiting Officer Role Changes Fixed issues where the previous Recruiting Officer position could remain after appointing an officer to a General Position, or where duplicate position removal notices could appear.

  • Rescue Captured Officers When Recapturing a City When you recapture a city where one of your officers is held prisoner, that officer is now released and returns to your faction.

  • Fixed Sealed Mode Settings and Achievement Checks Fixed an issue where the Ask for Real Name setting did not apply correctly in Sealed mode.

We will continue improving the game based on your feedback. Thank you.
