Three Kingdoms : Alias changes
v0.5.6 Update Notes
Hello, I'm the developer of Three Kingdoms: Alias.
This update improves siege operations, officer lifespan and natural death, prisoner disposition, governor appointment after conquest, and imperial-court handling.
Key Updates
Late-Game Performance Improvements
Siege Time Limit and Cleanup Mode
Officer Natural-Death Omen and On/Off Option
Bulk Prisoner Disposition
Direct Governor Selection After Conquest
Late-Game Optimization
Late-Game Performance Improvements We worked on optimizations to reduce the lag that appeared in the mid-to-late game as play progressed.
Sieges
Siege Time Limit A time limit now applies when a siege reaches a stalemate. It does not affect most battles and is applied and shown only in the special case where a stalemate occurs.
Siege Cleanup Mode When a siege stalemate persists, the battle automatically fast-forwards at 8x speed. It immediately returns to the original speed when you issue a unit order or the situation changes.
As mentioned in a previous announcement, combat still has many issues, so we plan to carry out a renewal. The current measures are closer to a temporary fix to prevent games from getting stuck, and we will do our best to deliver stable and enjoyable combat through that renewal as soon as possible.
Officer Lifespan and Natural Death
Natural-Death On/Off Option Added A Natural Death on/off option has been added to the start screen. With it turned off, no officer or ruler dies of old age. Other deaths, such as dying in battle or being executed, still occur.
Natural-Death Omen Once, exactly 12 months before an officer in the player's faction dies of natural causes, an omen indicating that their lifespan is nearly over is shown in the dashboard and the log window.
Prisoners and Conquest
Bulk Prisoner Disposition Added Prisoners, previously handled one at a time, can now be checked off and recruited, kept as prisoners, executed, or released together in a batch.
Direct Governor Selection After Conquest You can now select a governor directly when you conquer a city. Choose from the officers who took part in the campaign, or leave the post vacant.
AI Prisoner Execution Fix Fixed an issue where AI rulers executed prisoners excessively.
Imperial Court and Endings
Han Deposition by an Independent Emperor Now, when a ruler who has proclaimed themselves emperor seizes the seat of the Han court, instead of enthroning the Han emperor as before, they depose the Han emperor and bring an end to Han. In this case, unification leads to a new-dynasty ending.
Ending Label Fix Fixed an issue where, in some languages, the Han Restoration ending text was inconsistent between the title records and achievements.
Other Fixes
Removed the sort arrows in the Office Assignment screen so that stat names are not cut off even at large text sizes.
Fixed an issue where the persuasion result window and the Turn Report overlapped and neither could be closed.
Fixed an issue where a ruler or officer who escaped after their unit was wiped out in a field battle could not be redeployed, reporting that "a deployment order has already been issued."
Fixed an issue where the same officer could not be recruited again after a remote recruitment attempt failed.
Bandit uprisings no longer occur for 3 turns, including the turn of conquest, immediately after a city is conquered.
The maximum officer stats option can now be toggled on/off in difficulties other than Hardship as well.

We plan to explain ending conditions and other in-game information within the game as well, through a "Help" feature to be added later.
We will continue to make steady improvements. Thank you.
