addedAfter nearly a year of continuous work updating, refining and polishing the demo it has finally taken its final form! I didn't really like the old They Speak: Zenith demo, I felt like it wasn't super strong and broke way more than I would like. I'm very happy with the new one though. Who would have thought that a full year of work would make a game better.
changedUnfortunately there aren't really "patch notes" to share as nearly every system, mechanic, element of UI, visual, balance, and everything in between has been improved from where it was a year ago. THIS is finally something that feels reflective of the full vision for this game/series.
addedI feel like I learned how to make the game feel more cohesive. I'm happy with how all the systems are starting to click together after spending so long as a rough "Yeah, I want to do this eventually" thing. I've also had a lot of fun learning how to do camera work for some of the later cutscenes. The whole world now feels more alive and dynamic. It's all about the details, that will hopefully, collectively make you feel the history of the Abyss with every new corner you turn.
changedYour feedback on this demo is greatly appreciated! After a few days rest, the work will continue on wrapping up the rest of Zenith's content. We are still aiming for a 2025 release. But it is too soon to attempt to set a release date. Follow me on Bluesky for the most up-to-date news on development.
