The Totemist changes
The Totemist demo is officially arriving on June 1st, and I’m excited to finally share the first polished slice of the game with everyone. This build represents months of iteration on early‑game flow, clarity, and the cozy‑occult vibe at the heart of the experience.
Whether you joined the recent playtest or you’re stepping into the shop for the first time, this demo is designed to give you a meaningful look at what The Totemist is becoming.
What’s Included in the Demo
The complete early‑game crafting and shopkeeping loop.
Updated tutorial pacing and clearer guidance for new players.
The new frog hint system.
Journal improvements and better recipe readability.
Play through the entire 1st act of the story.
This is still a work in progress, but it’s the most polished and representative version of the game so far.
Shaped by Your Feedback
The recent public playtest was incredibly helpful. Your notes directly influenced changes to onboarding, UI clarity, and how quickly players get into the “make charms, help townsfolk, run your shop” rhythm. This demo is the result of that collaboration.
