Repeated intro
Greetings people! Over the past nearly two years, The Thing That Happened has never been abandoned! The game is currently in Early Access, and while development is still ongoing, the overall experience is steadily coming together. We have fixed a large number of bugs, and for some time now the project has been developed by a two-person team, so the game is very much alive and continuously improving. Progress is sometimes slower because we are working on the game alongside our regular jobs, but we truly love developing it, and that passion keeps us moving forward.

addedWe’re also excited to share that the game will be fantastic in scope, including a planned prologue alongside the main level, adding three additional maps that serve as an introduction to the story. Core systems such as the skill system , save system and the dynamic day-night cycle are now working perfectly. Where there was once little to do, the game is now filled with quests, multiple weapon types and weapon tiers, armor, attachments, and fully English-voiced NPCs. (More languages are coming soon)
addedWe are getting closer and closer to Version 1.0, which we currently plan to release within the next few months. Updates will become more frequent as we approach launch so we can keep you informed about as many new features and improvements as possible. Steam post image Thank you for your continued support , we can’t wait to share what’s coming next.
