Hello Stickman! I’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes but it won’t look like a lot has changed. But I’ll explain everything I’ve added and changed in this monthly update.

Repeated intro

Hello Stickman! I’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes but it won’t look like a lot has changed. But I’ll explain everything I’ve added and changed in this monthly update.

addedHello Stickman! I’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes but it won’t look like a lot has changed. But I’ll explain everything I’ve added and changed in this monthly update.
changedThe plan on release was to have only custom PvP maps supported on release. But PvE and PvP will now both be supported on release, simply because it’s easier to have it supported on launch, and not be added later. PvE will most likely be very limited to start, but will be expanded on after release.. The Steam Workshop for The Stickman is also almost all done and has a lot more tags so finding what you want should be easier.
changedHere's an image of what a typical Workshop item might look like on Steam with tags displayed on the right. The current tags are:
changedItem Type: Stickman Skin, Picture, or Level
changedLevel Difficulty: Easy to impossible. For PvP this is difficulty to navigate, in PvE its navigation and survivability
changedSupported Game Modes: Displays all game modes that the map supports. Supported modes all have requirements which are displayed to you in the creative map settings. For Example, Capture the Flag need flags placed in the level.

Levels

The second world of levels have been finalized. The only difference is the environments are now finished and look better than they did before along with slight encounter adjustments. Along with letters and alvin being hidden on every level. Alvin is WAY more hidden in the second world compared to the first, but the lore and story starts to ramp up. Steam post image

Enemies

Enemy variation is a lot better than it used to be. In the demo, I got feedback that more enemy variation would be nice and it should feel a lot better in the full release. I’ve also started to create other enemies rather than pink erasers. Now there’s enemies like a Wizard and other ridiculous stuff.

Optimization

Something that has been changed is lighting optimization. The FPS is now slightly better on all levels.

Website

There is also a website for The Stickman! There’s nothing new on there right now but will eventually have level editor tips to help spark ideas or better explain the process I go through making my levels.

So when is it released?

Right now I still plan for The Stickman to release into early access later this year. Exact date is TBD as I don't want to stress myself out and release anything incomplete.

What am I working on next?

Finishing the level editor is my current task. After finishing the level editor, I need to program a bunch of PvP modes and make some PvP maps. There will be at least one map per mode on release. And everything needs to be tested before being released, then we should be good if everything goes well!

Thanks for reading and being patient! I'm working really hard to make sure everything is smooth on release.
