The Spell Brigade changes
Brigadiers, we have one more Patch for you! And it’s a pretty good one:
📜 Scroll improvements & rebalances, as well as some new ones!
⚖️ More balancing & improvements for various Spells
🙌 Some more QOL features and bugfixes
We took a good, long look at our current Scrolls and your feedback. We’ve reworked some, rebalanced others, and straight up removed a few that just were never really gonna be up to par with the rest. And we also added 7 new Scrolls, each unlockable through their own Quest.

📦 CONTENT
📜 New Scroll: Second Breath
Gain a speed stack every second you’re standing still, and lose one every second you’re moving (max 5 Stacks). +6% Move Speed per stack
📜 New Scroll: Lucky Scroll
Get a random Scroll. An additional Scroll Chest will appear somewhere on the map.
📜 New Scroll: Magician Collision
When colliding with a teammate, increase both Wizards’ Move Speed by 25% for 5 seconds (10s cooldown).
📜 New Scroll: Passive Income
Luck is capped at 0, but every 5 Level Ups will contain a guaranteed Legendary.
📜 New Scroll: Fight or Flight
When taking damage, increase Move Speed by 30% for 2 seconds (7s cooldown).
📜 New Scroll: Thick Skin
The less Health you have, the more Armor you gain (max 90).
📜 New Scroll: Drinking Buddies
Whenever you pick up a Health Potion, all teammates will also receive 50% healing. Additionally, whenever a teammate picks up a Health Potion, you will also receive 50% healing.
🎖️ 4 new Quests
🕹️GAMEPLAY IMPROVEMENTS
✅ Added a Scroll HUD that shows cooldowns, triggers, or stacks.
🤝 Delayed Fate will only appear if a player still has rerolls to spend, or if the Reroll Mastery is active.
🤝 Made the following enemies pingable:
Elder Shaman
Elder Bloat Crab
Elder Teethy Worm
Broodmaw
Stampeders
Frostroot
Baby Manta
✅ Size Mastery now affects Spear Barrage and Impish Havoc.
✅ Gnashers can now be frozen.
✅ Made sure Bile Spitter, Rift Sentinel and Sol’Phish projectiles can destroy each other on hit.
✅ As a ghost, your movement is no longer affected by the environment (Roads, Ice Patches, Frost Branch, and Rivers).
✅ Scroll Chests now take damage from enemy projectiles.
✅ Added a small delay after a Level Up to create a moment of grace.
🎨VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS
✅ Fixed the visual for the Rift being too small in its exit animation.
✅ Improved the visuals for the Arcane Broadsword.
✅ Reworked Brimstone splash effect.
✅ Updated the player's death explosion.
⚖️ BALANCING
🤝 Spear Barrage
Improved Spear Barrage targeting.
Slightly increased hitbox size.
Slightly increased cast animation speed.
Slightly increased the base damage of Spear Barrage.
🤝 Hex Bomb
Bounce Augmentation now only reduces damage after each consecutive bounce.
Split augmentations now work similarly to other Split Augmentations.
🤝 Removed damage splitting for:
Shadow Talon Augmentation on Talon Slash
Rear Blades Augmentation on Phantom Blades
Multi-Barrage Augmentation on Spear Barrage
🤝 Mul’Gath
Mul'Gath has a higher damage resistance during phase transitions.
Mul’Gath’s minions now immediately start healing him over time.
🤝 Scrolls
Bountiful Quests and Go-Getter’s Grace have been made to work retroactively.
Go-Getter’s Grace ’s healing buff has also been increased from 25% to 30%.
Fist of Support has been reworked to increase both Damage (10%) and Critical Damage (30%) every time you revive a teammate.
Reworked Power of Friendship to increase Armor instead of Damage. Additionally, the distance calculation has been reworked so the max Armor value is reached a bit easier.
Savior Focus, Steady Hand, and Resilient Revival have been removed.
🙌 QOL
🤝 Quests that track specific progress now have indicators in-game. This applies to:
Completing Realms on specific Threat Levels -> icons in the Realm Select Menu.
Infusing all different Elements -> Quest icon on the Infusion Card.
Collecting 12 different Scrolls -> Quest icon on the Scroll Card.
✅ Tweaked animation values during Level Ups to make selection moments during gameplay smoother.
✅ Improved the Wizard Trait descriptions so each Wizard's effects are more clear/transparent.
🤝 Improved scrolling behavior in the Quest Menu.
⚙️STABILITY & BUGFIXES
🤝 Fixed an issue where buttons in the Pause menu would remain selected after reopening the Pause Menu.
✅ Fixed an issue where rewards from certain Quests were immediately available in the same Mission.
✅ Fixed an issue where Scepter Mesh would still damage enemies for a few seconds after despawning.
✅ Fixed an issue where the Necro Whirl visual would clip into the ground if the Stalking Whirl augmentation was equipped.

👀 WHAT’S NEXT?
Since the 1.0 release, we’ve released 9 patches that fixed, improved, reworked, and rebalanced the game, while also sprinkling in some new stuff in there. The initial 1.0 was quite a mixed bag, which is why we have been listening very closely to your feedback and carefully releasing patch after patch to get the game back on track. We now feel more confident saying that the game is in a more stable, more balanced, and more enjoyable state. So now, we can officially start looking at the next big things for The Spell Brigade!
So here it is! A brand new Post-1.0 Roadmap!
The dev team has been stuck in overdrive for quite some time now, and the heat is not making it any better! So there’s a few vacations long overdue. After that, we will once again lock in to give you fresh content. Stay tuned! And stay cool 🧊
