Princess Alecto von Lectica reveal!

This is Lucky Cat, the solo dev behind The Silent Kingdom.

I've just finished the whole script for chapter 2!!! Finally!! The script was the task that took the longest time to make. The final part alone has two completely different versions/routes, so I had to write the whole part twice. Since each version offers different insights, it might be worth seeing both.

Half the chapter already has all the programming, mapping and graphics done (not counting CGs and battle system, as I'm leaving those for later for a reason.)

Today, I'd like to show you the character design for the princess of the Sacred Kingdom of Lectica, Alecto von Lectica. Colours might not be final.

Truth be told, the colour matter has been driving me nuts. When I showed my friends this design, each of them requested different colour changes, so I made several versions. Since there wasn't a consensus among my friends, I decided to ask my Kickstarter backers...and there was no consensus there either, hahaha. So I'm not sharing the different colour palettes here, as I fear that the same situation will happen. I think I'll just pick whatever colour feels best after I design the royal guards.

I must also give an impotant notice: It's highly possible that the current saves from the early access version won't work in the final game. The gallery script alone might cause this, among other things. I sincerely apologise about this trouble. I can only recommend everyone who hasn't played the game yet to wait for the final version. I'm considering removing the early access from sale for the time being, until the game's official release.

Hopefully, if I manage to get the funds for Japanese voices, starting a fresh game would be worth it.

In any case, I'm working on The Silent Kingdom everyday. Its development is going forward at a steady pace. Since I'm a solo dev, I can't be as fast as a whole team, but I'm doing my best. Thank you very much for your support and patience, it means a world to me. See you next time!
