Hello everyone! This is Lucky Cat, the solo developer behind The Silent Kingdom.

Since the launch of Early Access / Chapter 1, I've been working on the next part non stop. I've worked on the script (99 pages written so far, though I'm still not halfway), and also on some mapping and programming of the first scenes.

I'd like to talk about my plans with the development and final game launch.

First of all, there's some feedback I need to implement and a minor bug to correct in chapter 1. However, since I'm already developing the next part, I won't update the Early Access version further. So all the feedback will be implemented when the game fully launches.

As you might know, my plan is to work on the Lectica and Somnia arcs together, so the next time the game is updated it'll contain the whole story and endings. That'll be the official launch out of early access.

Chapter 1 improvements that I'd like to implement for the final game:

  • Increased ratio in which some enemies drop potions.

  • A certain part of a dungeon will be made a bit less dark.

  • A book item to access the batle tutorials any time.

  • Tweak some dialogue in Fortuna's castle to make it more obvious that the court is its own battlefield.

  • Correction of a bug that makes the princess walk slower during a certain scene.

  • Improvements of the Japanese translation.

(Maybe there's more that I might be forgetting right now ;;; )

New important features planned for the final game:

  • CG gallery.

  • Japanese voices!!!

About the Japanese voice acting, I've found the means and got a bit of funding for it, so it's 99% certain that it'll happen!! You can't imagine how excited I am; this is a huge dream for me.

With the current funding, however, I'll only be able to add voices to some scenes. I'll also be limited in what seiyuu I can choose. So, in case you played chapter 1 the Jack Sparrow way and liked it, please consider supporting the game hahaha. The more funds it raises now, the better the final version will be for everyone.

To all the people who supported the game and let me know of their impressions and feedback, I can't state enough how thankful I am. Every time someone tells me that they enjoyed the journey, I feel renewed energies to keep working hard on it, as all of you have made me believe in this project more than ever.

Thank you very much. And off to work I go!
