Today, we are incredibly proud to announce that The Severed Gods public demo is officially live on Steam and free to download!
This is not just a quick "taste test" - this is the complete, playable first chapter, containing core combat, build-crafting, karma choices, and meta-progression. We want you to fully experience the unique god-slaying loop of The Severed Gods.
⚔️ What is The Severed Gods?
The Severed Gods is a dark fantasy turn-based roguelite RPG. Lead a group of heroes trapped in an endless cycle of reincarnation as they fight to stop Umbra, an ancient dragon whose existence threatens the entire world.
🎯 Key Features
Tactical Turn-Based Combat with Vertical Targeting
Battles take place across three vertical levels: low, mid, and high. Time your attacks carefully and target specific enemy body parts to gain the upper hand.
Break & Sever System
Exploit weaknesses to break an enemy’s defenses, then sever their limbs to permanently disable abilities and fundamentally change how they fight.
Relic-Driven Builds
Discover over 90 relics that can dramatically alter your skills and create powerful combinations focused on elemental damage, status effects, combo chains, and more.
Massive Boss Encounters
Face gigantic multi-part bosses, each with unique behaviors, strengths, and weaknesses. Learning which body parts to target can mean the difference between victory and defeat.
Hero Sigil Action System
Every hero interacts with the world differently. Steal, recruit, learn, negotiate, gather information, and more. Your choices shape the journey in meaningful ways.
A Dynamic Reincarnation World
Each failed run resets the world, but not in the same way. NPCs change, maps evolve, and new events appear, creating different experiences from one run to the next.
