Thanks for always watching!✨
Today, we’d like to introduce the KIZUNA (Side) Quests!
※In this game, the structure is broadly divided into two parts: the Main Quest that moves the story forward, and the Side Quests where you form KIZUNA.
When words are engraved in the heart, KIZUNA is formed
※Sorry, only the Japanese version is available at this time.
The characters in this story each play a role within the fairy tale itself.
But during the Interludes between chapters, they step away from those roles and reveal their true selves—along with the worries and problems they carry.
By helping them resolve those issues,
they may come to trust the protagonist,
or speak to them as a mentor who shares hard-earned wisdom.
Those words they leave behind—
that is what becomes KIZUNA in this story.
You can complete the story without collecting KIZUNA,
but by gathering them, the story will surely become richer and more meaningful.
(Collected KIZUNA can also be used in battles.)
Give Insight to things whose existence has begun to waver
Most of the characters’ troubles stem from the loss of something important—
a thing whose meaning or presence has faded.
During Interludes, the protagonist helps by:
Finding Insight
Using that Insight to restore what was lost
(and in some cases, delivering it to where it belongs)
Through this process, their problems are resolved.
We’re planning around 70 KIZUNA quests,
one for nearly every named character with spoken dialogue (excluding background NPCs)!
(To be honest, that made episode writing and quest design… pretty tough🫠
But after revisiting the structure multiple times, we finally landed on a form that feels right.)
Not all KIZUNA words are “nice” or comforting ones.
Some might even make the fairy frown—are these really good words…?
These KIZUNA episodes offer glimpses into each character’s personality,
and we hope you’ll enjoy discovering them for yourself!
As always, thank you for your continued support of ROCOCO GAMES and The Perfect Prince!
