The Audio Calibration Update is here!
Ready to find your rhythm again? For v0.9.0, I focused heavily on performance, Steam Deck compatibility, and making sure PARADOGX feels as good as it sounds, no matter what hardware you are using!
Features:
- New Audio Calibration ToolI implemented a new interactive system to measure and adjust input lag. This is a game-changer if you are playing with wireless headphones (Bluetooth) or on a setup with natural audio delay.
Changes:
Steam Deck & Performance: I did a lot of under-the-hood optimization. I switched form static batching to GPU instancing with GPU culling to get better runtime performance.
- Gameplay FlowAdded extra "safeguard colliders" on moving blocks. We improved the UX to allow for less dying and more "reckless dog play"!
- UI PolishBetter keyboard glyph positioning in text boxes and added protection against rapid-toggling menus to prevent input issues.
Added "Fade to transparent" effect at game start so it looks nicer.
Visuals & Assets:
Improved "Glossy" material properties for a more consistent look across the game.
Added new 3D assets
Polished animations for the dog and moving crates.
Bugfixing:
Fixed an issue where the "Death Plane" looked wonky when resetting from far away.
Fixed a bug where the Customization UI wouldn't update properly after equipping a new skin.
Fixed random audio SFX glitches occurring on game start.
Fixed logic bugs regarding crates spawning on islands.
Addressed various softlocks and audio-sync issues.
