The Old War changes
Magic in The Old War
In The Old War, magic is hated and feared.
It was said that magic is what destroyed the world. Anyone who uses it plays with forces far beyond their comprehension and control. Only tyrants and madmen would dabble in these forces.
How it Affects the Game
This plays a major factor on the battlefields of the Old War. Magic is wildly powerful and unpredictable.
The world is unstable. Every spell cast rocks the stability of the world, and can cause unprecedented devastation. If you cast a spell, instability increases, the day/night cycle speeds up, and random cataclysmic events will start to happen. Tornados, firestorms, lightning, portals to other dimensions, and more.
Here is just a taste of what is to come.
What's Coming Next?
Clearly, two spells is no problem for even a junior wizard to master. More spells and disciplines can be mastered, greatly enhancing the specificity and destructive potential of each wizard.
Any spells or abilities that you think should be added? Portals? Ice storms? Elementals?
