addedI am adding things like polish, some smaller features, and updating the main game to be more fun!
changedAll Beta versions will now be called
changedThese versions are mostly finished versions that can be launched, but will have more and more improvements to boot!
addedAdditionally, I have reached my goal for items and map stages, I will not be adding more items until the DLC launches, but I will be adding more map stages. This is to hopefully prevent any issues with OP items ruining the game on launch, and to give myself room for future content!
changedNext, some FAQs that my beta testers and friends asked
changedA: Yes! The update will have TONS of bug fixes, some systems (such as cosmetics) will be available in a lite form, and you will be able to earn the meta currency (Onkle tokens) for a few cosmetics, and keep them if you decide to purchase the DLC, and a lot of QQL will be present!

Here is the next installment of the Onkleville times!

Firstly, DLC news

I am at a point in development were I could release the DLC any day, and would feel confident about it,

but.....

I am adding things like polish, some smaller features, and updating the main game to be more fun!

All Beta versions will now be called

"Release candidates"

These versions are mostly finished versions that can be launched, but will have more and more improvements to boot!

Additionally, I have reached my goal for items and map stages, I will not be adding more items until the DLC launches, but I will be adding more map stages. This is to hopefully prevent any issues with OP items ruining the game on launch, and to give myself room for future content!

Next, some FAQs that my beta testers and friends asked

Q: Will the main game get an update?

A: Yes! The update will have TONS of bug fixes, some systems (such as cosmetics) will be available in a lite form, and you will be able to earn the meta currency (Onkle tokens) for a few cosmetics, and keep them if you decide to purchase the DLC, and a lot of QQL will be present!

Q: Do cosmetics work in both modes?

A: Yes, all cosmetics work in the main game, as well as rogue mode

Q: How will rogue mode work, is it a modifier, a special mountain, or another app

A: Rogue mode is present in the map select, so a special mountain I guess. The fundamentals are different between the modes, so kinda.

Q: What is the gameplay like?

A: Really fun, it has the same challenge (with ways to make it easier/much harder) as the main game, and somewhat of the same gameplay, but it feels unique. I have played a few games you could consider "Rogue like/lite platformers", and it feels very different. There are no stages, but each chunk can feel like one. It has a sort of build management, allowing each run to feel different, but unlike other roguelikes, one style of build is much better than others.

Q: What are your plans post launch?

A: Everything is a maybe, I have another project that will start around them, but I did leave myself some space to expand the DLC. There MIGHT be more items, there MIGHT be more stages, but it all depends on the success and what the community wants!

Q: What does the monetization look like in Rogue mode? A: Just the upfront cost of $1.99 USD, maybe in the future, I will make another DLC, but not micro transactions.

I am more than excited (more than the other post because the game feels like a cohesive experience)to share this with y'all. Only 16 days to go!

August 20th, 2025

If you play in the 10 days post launch, you will unlock a special skin!

The Mountain and The Moron Rogue Mode

See you at the top
