The Music Update 1.0.4

From the moment The Lone Sword released, the top feedback it was receiving was clear: great technical side, subpar music. It's time to address it. Yes, I'm patching the music now.

What changed

0 fixes0 additions2 changes0 removals
  • Gameplay
  • Fixes
changedEight different music themes got remastered and/or expanded for improved clarity and cohesion so instruments blend together much better and the tracks are more fit for longer listening. Special standouts: The theme playing in Armory-2, Armory-5 (and other levels) got an additional layer of instrumentation and generally refined flow. The waltz theme playing in Armory-4 and Armory-6 got expanded to more than double the length to avoid repetition. The three themes playing in Forge are much more polished now, with all instruments contributing to one body at last. All around improvements in mixing for wider range of speakers.
changedA fix for widescreen UI on low resolution screens.

From the moment The Lone Sword released, the top feedback it was receiving was clear: great technical side, subpar music. It's time to address it.

Yes, I'm patching the music now.

  • Eight different music themes got remastered and/or expanded for improved clarity and cohesion so instruments blend together much better and the tracks are more fit for longer listening. Special standouts:

    • The theme playing in Armory-2, Armory-5 (and other levels) got an additional layer of instrumentation and generally refined flow.

    • The waltz theme playing in Armory-4 and Armory-6 got expanded to more than double the length to avoid repetition.

    • The three themes playing in Forge are much more polished now, with all instruments contributing to one body at last.

    • All around improvements in mixing for wider range of speakers.

  • Minor visual tweaks for backgrounds in some levels.

  • A fix for widescreen UI on low resolution screens.

I hope this special update will bring the music layer up to the standard the rest of the game represents. If you encounter any problems with this version, please report them in the comments or in Community Hub.

Have fun,

Kamil
