Formation System

A brand new game mechanic—— **Battle Formation**.
Formations are based on a 3x3 grid, with key positions called **Formation Eyes**.
Formation Eyes grant elemental energy, providing extra abilities to characters standing on them.
Non-Eye positions are disabled; thus, the number of characters in battle is limited when the formation is activated.
Formations are selected at game start and persist throughout; changing requires a new game.
Different formations require specific elemental Star Crystals for activation, so sufficient crystals must be prepared.
Currently, two formations are available; more novel formations will be added in future updates.
Global Resource: Star Crystals
Overview: Star Crystals are a global resource, shared across multiple games.
Types and Attributes: Five colors, each representing an elemental attribute: Orange-Fire, Blue-Frost, White-Lightning, Purple-Shadow, Yellow-Light.
Acquisition: Obtainable by defeating monsters; amounts and chances vary.
Uses: Activate formations or exchange for Gold at merchants.
- StorageCrystals are global; amounts can carry over to new games.
Notes: Use wisely; they are vital resources.
Death Penalty
Characters do not auto-revive and must be manually revived by players.
Revival consumes Gold, increasing with each use.
If Gold is insufficient, Star Crystals can be exchanged for revival.
Star Crystals are essential for formations; use them carefully.
Caravan Merchant
The first NPC debuts—— Caravan Merchant.
Drag cards to exchange for Gold, including Item and Character Cards.
Yes, including Character Cards, as other teams may need them.
The merchant also accepts Star Crystals; prices are fair given his monopoly.
New Item: Elemental Orbs
Four elemental orbs convert normal damage into elemental damage.
New Item: Sanctuary Staff
Adds a magic shield and increases target's armor and resistance.
New Item: Radiant Gloves
Purifies negative effects while granting a magic shield.
Stat Adjustments
- Ridge FalconAttack reduced from 50 to 45
- Crusher ShieldNo longer stuns; cooldown reduced from 15s to 5s
- Ember FireTrigger chance reduced from 50% to 30%
- BloodletterTrigger chance reduced from 50% to 30%
- Refractive MirrorTrigger chance reduced from 30% to 20%
End-level boss HP slightly increased
Magic shield absorption slightly reduced
Magic shields can stack when triggered; do not auto-stack
Bleed damage frequency reduced
Lightning Mage's Lightning Arc skill has 10% bounce chance
