addedTLDR - The current patch as of Oct 29th, 2017 will be pushed to the legacy branch. We are fixing a few core code problems on public branch starting in the next few days that will result in an infinitely better experience and it'll break a lot of things in the process. Most of the official servers will remain on legacy branch. Greetings Islanders, For those of you not active on our Discord, we recently announced that we are in the process of finalizing dinosaur features and the state that they will remain until 1.0. We're sure many of you have noticed the floorplan of features we want for the dinosaurs are in the game and are simply disabled or inactive. The reasons for this are that we need to update the core functionality of the dinosaurs themselves. When we begin this process, there's a huge potential for unforseen consequences of things that will break or be effected. Since we first started, there's a lot we've learned and derelict remnants or poorly written code still exists that simply needs to be cut out or redone. The most basic explanation of what results you can expect from this is a crisper visual representation of players. Things such as instances of dinosaurs moving without their animations reflecting turns and taking an unacceptable amount of time to display eating/drinking and animation stuttering that results in players feeling that they've unfairly been killed should no longer exist whatsoever. Alongside this endeavor we will be updating dinosaurs with the prototype features that have been sitting around for a while (the new eating/drinking system, dinosaur IK/body rotation, etc) so we can push dinosaurs to completion and move on to the rest of the game. Due to the relatively volatile way that some of the game was created and several features are reliant on one another for functionality, this is definitely going to break a lot of things. We know a great many of you just want to log on and play the game as it was instead of assisting us with narrowing down bugs and issues as they occur during this endeavor, so we'll be pushing the last stable patch before we embark on said venture to the legacy branch. Attached below we will have something for any of you to follow to move yourselves to legacy branch and continue playing the game as it was. Here is a youtube video on how to switch to legacy branch if needed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgVpr5TOkLw Thanks for your understanding, The Isle Development Team
