  • More Beings and More Lore Drops

  • More Visual Juicing and Sound Effects, such as Being Projectile spawn animations, armor hit animations when Player Heath is above 5, as well as Lightning and Ambient Water Sound Effects

  • More Cutscene for a certain powerup later in the story

  • Load Backup now has Confirmation before allowing usage

  • Bigger Player Icon when zoomed out

  • Cutscenes can be triggered by dialogue states

Fixed

  • Fixed Trees and Strong Current in the 7th Area as it causes soft-lock

  • Fixed Background Music cutting out when moving between Areas of the Sea

  • Fixed 7th Area where it could be accessed earlier than usual

  • Fixed 3 Option Dialogue, where choosing the 3rd would still show a line/2nd line of the 2nd option before showing the 3rd Dialogue

Festivals and Events

The Harbinger of the Deep joins the Southeast Asian Games Showcase 2026 Steam Festival! It's not part of the Official Showcase, but you can check it out in the 'More SEA Games' section of the event!

The game also joins Steam Bullet Fest!

Juicing

Since I'm essentially done with content, outside of the final parts of the game, I've decided to focus more on polishing up what the game already has. I've added more SFX, ambiance, and visual effects to give the game a better feel.

Map Lines

To add a bit better distinction in the map, I've added map line zones of the various areas of the Sea!

With the time I had, I think it's good enough to warrant an update, more especially with the things that are happening in the next 2 weeks. I hope you enjoy a better The Harbinger of the Deep Demo and get a bit more tidbits of the game.
