The Guiding Spirit changes
Hi Everyone,
Please see today's hotfix notes below:
Hotfix (2026-03-03)
Fixed some missing Motivation bonuses.
Tweaked the description of Little Help so it is clearer what it does.
Fixed an issue with certain skill checks (Healing, Lockpicking, Knowledge) that characters should not be able to attempt if their skill value is 0.
Tweaked several scenes in both chapters related to injuries to make them more logical and consistent.
Added a new scene in Chapter 1 where a character with healing powers heals an injured party member if they either have the Always Helps trait or their relationship is at least 40.
Added a new scene in Chapter 1 where the character heals themselves using magic (Lay On Hands).
Added a camp scene where a hurt character can heal themselves through skill use.
STORY SPOILERS BELOW!
Tweaked conditions for the "You tried to shove me into the trap" scene. Having the Lunatic trait alone is no longer enough to trigger the fight; now you must be Lunatic + Evil/Aggressive or Imbecile + Evil.
In the fight following the same scene, the outcome is no longer always determined by who shoved the other. This should now be a fair fist-fight!
Added extra text to the scene where the party meets the tall cloaked man to explain that offensive spells were temporarily blocked early in the story.
You can no longer pet the zombie (I know, it's sad).
Tweaked the conditions for selecting who attempts to pick the first room's door.
Tweaked the scene where the party first meets the tribe.
