The Funnel changes
Well here it is. I got a big update for The Funnel today and the exciting news that we'll be part of ENDIX 2026 with our first discount on The Funnel.
Other than that, I'll say that I'm not planning any more updates on The Funnel for now. I'm working fully on our next game which I'll have a teaser for soon. If any feedback for The Funnel pops up, I'll hop back over and address it in another update, but for now everything seems to be going smoothly.
ENDIX 2026
This is a festival with a cool concept where they actually run it as a game through Steam/Epic, so they can take some of the fun parts of a physical expo and put them in a digital space. The Funnel will be part of a theatre called the Theatrum Obscurum where you can see trailers for all sorts of spooky games.
Along with the festival, there will be an ENDIX steam sale running from May 21st. Due to our release date we can't actually discount the game until the 23rd, but from May 23rd until the 26th, when the festival ends, The Funnel will have its first discount. So if you're thinking of buying the game, I'd recommend waiting until then.
The actual expo is running May 23-24 and you can find out more here: ENDIX Festival
UPDATE 1.1
The main things in this update are Mac support, improvements to the journal, and a tutorial revamp. Here are the full notes:
Added Mac support for Intel and Silicon (This wasn't notarized by apple as from our testing it seemed to not be necessary to run the game through steam).
Added an assembly count discount after the player gets zapped, to allow them to catch up on new mechanics.
The journal now keeps track of old entries but crosses them out instead of deleting them (For any old saves, the journal will do this going forwards but it can't retrieve old entries that were deleted before the game updated to 1.1).
The journal now orders entries by the crew member that they are connected to, or under a General tab for other types.
Added a setting to turn off tutorials.
Added extra time to compensate for when player must complete extra assemblies.
Added highlight lights to mail UI tutorial.
Added highlight lights to washer in bomb tutorial.
Added highlight lights to door unlocking tutorial.
Added highlight lights to manager game tutorial.
Improved text in radar game tutorial.
Added highlight lights and slow motion to rail car tutorial.
Improved formatting of book text alignment and spacing.
Fixed some letter titles being too big in mail storage box.
Improved keybind settings text spacing.
That pretty much covers it. Hopefully the tutorials make more sense now. I'm looking forward to showing you what we're working on next.
May the gears keep turning.
