The Field Between: Cryophobia

Surprise! There is a new major update available for The Field Between RIGHT NOW. Development for this update was kept largely a secret, outside of a cryptic teaser, so it could be an early Christmas surprise.

What's new?

• Introducting Cryophobia mode, a brand new way to play The Field Between unlike any other gamemode before it.

  • In Cryophobia mode, you are free of the confines of your usual farm, and let loose in the open world of the frozen wasteland!

  • Your only goal is survival againt the harsh environment, and its many hostile inhabitants.

  • Customers are still here to cause you stress, but are more lifelike, roaming the wasteland alongside you.

  • Gather berries to eat for temporary buffs, or trade them to customers for handy firewood, to keep yourself warm by the campfire.

  • Discover various locations, some of them familiar, in search of resources and upgrades.

  • Prepare for nightfall, where survival will only get tougher.

  • Cryophobia mode can be unlocked by discovering a new entity within the drowning night event.

• Brand new day variant - snowy!

  • Once per playthrough, it will snow, coating your farm in a cold white blanket.

  • Gameplay remains unaffected except for reduced visibility.

  • On snow days, a brand new track will play, "Mourn the snow", the third in the "Mourn the" trilogy.

• Brand new help section in the main menu and pause menu

  • Features descriptions and tips related to all major mechanics across normal play and Cryophobia mode

• You can now interact with robots to collect any crops they have harvested but not yet put in their storage chest.

• Updated the menu song, there is now an option in the unlocks menu to choose between the new song, the old one, or the secret one (if you have it unlocked).

• 9 new achievements

• Three new songs for Cryophobia mode

• New random day song "Cryophobia" added
