Hi!

We're rolling out an update to the current demo build based on the feedback we've been getting:

  • several changes to light batching in the scenes, leading to noticeably better performance (looking at you, Junkyard)

  • fixed the possibility to spam kicks in a quick succession that also froze player movement as a side effect

  • tweaks to some VFX and a few sounds

  • breakable walls now cast shadows properly

  • rework of the baseball batmore responsive (less frames of a windup) attack, slightly wider attack arc, animation changed to be less of a 'bonk bonk off to the horny jail' (shoutout to our stick-swinging consultant)
  • added taunting (keybind: T), allowing to add insult to injury

  • the pipe bomb now explodes more glamorously and can destroy light sources

  • enemies are now more responsive to the sounds of both gunshots and bullets flying by, making them react aggresively to gunfights

  • updated how AI pathfinding reacts to destroyed walls, making the enemies rather angry when a nearby wall is blown up, as well as less afraid to walk through the debris and hunt down the player

  • ricochets! bullets hitting walls at certain angles now have a chance to glance off
