changedAnother month. Another spooky season. Another fall is upon us. It has been flying by so quickly. Quickly enough it is hard to keep up and be able to finish everything as quickly as I want. Yes I am talking Update 1. I am very close, but golly it feels like there is not enough time in the month...or day...or the hour...LOL
changedNonetheless...the first beta was released in a super-secret-rainbow-butterfly-unicorn-kitten branch. This means I am close to opening things up to the testers. I have done many...many...MANY smoke tests with Update 1 to ensure the best goes out with as few possibilities for bugs to arise as best I can. I am not perfect, but I want to make sure thoroughness of Update 1. I did one special quick beta test with one of our testers (thank you BTW) and things seemed very well so that is the good news.
fixedThe other side is not necessarily sad or bad news, but more just news on where I am at on Update 1. All the new mechanics are done. The new maps look and work great. All the shader performance updates are magical and you can tell a difference. With all that being said, there are a couple of issues that came out of the single beta test run we did; none of them are major, but need to be fixed to ensure the best experience for you. There also came a small tweak on one of the new mechanics that I feel will help you enjoy said mechanic better. Yes I am being vague on purpose because I do not want to give too much away until the actual release.
addedI saw some new players join the experiments over the spooky season. I even got to play with some old and new players and it was a laugh fest as always! I am so glad everyone is having so much fun with the game. I even saw some new achievements unlocked (even some hidden ones) recently so congratulations on those unlocks! I hope to see more playtime and folks still enjoying the gameplay and know that things are coming, to change some tactics and ways of playing, very soon. Stay strong and get out there and give The Collar something to write about!

I am close to a posting a release date. I want to make sure I hit the date and would hate to lead anyone astray or have to push it back or push a product less than stellar just to meet said date. In other words, I am not done yet! :)
