The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story changes
Thank you very much for playing The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story. This is a progress report regarding an issue concerning the live-action videos in the Steam version of The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story.
Desiring to resolve this issue as soon as possible, we considered replacing all of the video footage files. However, as we investigated this course of action, we discovered that correcting the video footage to the appropriate resolution would cause the amount of game data to increase, significantly exceeding the amount of storage listed under the recommended/minimum system requirements.
Since we anticipate that there would be some players who would encounter issues with their system if we were to issue a compulsory installation that exceeds the volume of storage that we had previously advised, we would like to resolve this by providing free, additional DLC to be downloaded as desired, rather than by issuing a patch.
After applying the additional DLC that will be distributed for free, you will be able to enjoy the video footage at the resolution that was originally envisaged (3840x2160).
(After downloading the additional DLC, we expect that the game will exceed 50 GB of required storage.)
We anticipate the additional DLC will be available in late June. In order to prevent the occurrence of any future issues, we have reserved time for quality assurance checks. We offer our heartfelt apologies for making you wait so long.
Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience and trouble caused to our customers, and ask for your patience for a short while longer.
