Today marks the world premiere of the second game of Unreliable Narrators.

We are revealing The Caribou Trail, a first-person narrative adventure set during one of the most devastating and least represented campaigns of the First World War : Gallipoli.

You play as Fisher, a young fisherman from Newfoundland who leaves behind the familiar rhythm of the sea and enlists with the Newfoundland Regiment, crossing the ocean toward a conflict he barely understands. The trenches are not just battlefields. They are waiting rooms filled with mud, silence, fragile companionship, and the constant weight of uncertainty.

This is not a story about victory.

It is about endurance.

You will experience the stillness between bombardments, the quiet humanity that binds soldiers together, and the memories that refuse to fade. Letters from home, shared glances in the dark, the sound of distant artillery that never truly stops. And in those quiet moments, when the night stretches too long and the air feels heavier than it should, something else may be watching.

The demo is live now, so you can step into the game and experience its tone and atmosphere firsthand.

The trailer is premiering today as part of the Québec Games Sale, where it’s featured on the Steam sale homepage and showcased live during Indie Asylum’s YouTube and Twitch broadcasts.

If you enjoy narrative-driven games and historical stories that put people first, wishlisting the game really helps support our small development team. You can also follow the game here on Steam to stay up to date with future updates and announcements.

If you’re discovering us for the first time, our previous narrative game Two Falls (Nishu Takuatshina) explored early encounters between French settlers and Indigenous Peoples in Canada, and shaped our approach to thoughtful, perspective-driven storytelling.

Some trails are crossed. Others stay with you.
