Hi there! This is the FireWo Game Studio & LightningGames publishing team. We are excited to meet you in this way (it really takes us back to the golden era of blogging). This month's update will be shared here, covering both big events and little fun moments. We're thrilled to share what we're working on with you!
🎬 Trailer & Livestream

On the evening of February 12th, during the Chinese Lantern Festival, we hosted our first-ever livestream on Bilibili! Big thanks to BlazBlue's producer 厂长 from 91ACT for joining us on site, and to 鸡哥 for leading the Q&A online "torture" session! During the livestream, our producer gave an honest behind-the-scenes look at the studio's development, revealed some in-progress footage, and answered the burning questions about gameplay, the workshop and development progress. We've gathered common questions from our community, and our producer's here to give you the answers. Official class rep reporting in!
Game Release & Support
What will the game price be? The final price hasn't been set yet, but our goal is to keep it affordable so that as many players as possible can enjoy the game.
Will the game support languages like Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, Portuguese, etc.? We'll continue to monitor Steam wishlists and community feedback to determine whether to add more languages based on demand.
Why was Kickstarter canceled? The funding issue was resolved through company investment. To clarify, we have only accepted financial investment and have not sold any rights beyond equity, ensuring that the team can continue prioritizing game quality and player experience.
Will the game have a multiplayer mode? We plan to explore a P2P multiplayer mode after launch. However, we won't release it unless we're confident it delivers a great experience, so we recommend keeping expectations in check for now.
Gameplay & Mechanics
Will there be rebellions? If I establish my own dynasty, can rebels flood my palace? Yes, rebellions will occur, and you'll need to suppress them. Rebels can invade your palace, so you'll have to fortify your defenses.
Will there be a family or faction management system? There is a similar system, but it doesn't follow traditional SLG-style faction management.
Is there a lifespan limit for characters? Can they extend it through cultivation? No, characters do not have lifespan limits. This is not a cultivation-based game.
Can characters start families? Will there be needs management, such as hunger and thirst? The main character can develop romantic relationships with different but fixed NPCs. The game includes a hunger system but does not have a thirst mechanic.
How does character customization work? Do we choose traits at the start, or unlock more options throughout the game? Character progression is tied to an in-game system where all abilities and stats improve through its mechanics. It functions similarly to a large talent tree (though it's not called that and doesn't follow traditional talent tree mechanics). Additionally, weapons and equipment in the game offer build variety.
Will there be a injury system similar to RimWorld or Project Zomboid, or limb based system like in Kenshi? What about poisoning? There's no limb health system, but the game includes various buffs. A specific sect in the game specializes in crafting different poisons.
Will there be an inheritance system like in Medieval Dynasty? Can you take over as children after death? No, the game follows a more traditional RPG structure. Upon death, you'll need to reload a save—unless you die as a result of a death sentence, in which case it works differently.
Will farming and animal husbandry include mutation or genetic traits? Yes, plants can be selectively bred for better traits, and animals can undergo mutation-based breeding.
