We've already talked about Arcade Mode, but there's one last thing we'd like to cover: The scoring system!

When you finish a match, you'll be given a score based on several factors: Remaining time (accounting for all rounds) Rounds Won, Mana Generated (from strikes and potions), Ultimate Power generated (from strikes, shots and specials) and how much damage was dealt to your potiion (the less damage, the more points!).

But the part that's probably a bit more interesting is the special Bonuses. Each bonus has specific criteria, and if you manage to trigger that criteria on any round, you'll be awarded a bonus at the end of the match. Think of them as mini-achievements!

You can already see a few bonuses in the screenshot above. This is what they mean:

  • FirSt!!1!: You scored the first bullet of the match.

  • Frontliner: Spent most of your time in the front of the arena.

  • Too Slow: Your opponent scored a bullet without you ever striking it.

  • Stun Magnet: All stuns stunned you.

You'll notice that Too Slow and Stun Magnet have a negative value. These are Negative Bonuses, and obviously, you'll want to avoid them! Generally, as long as you manage to play perfectly, you'll avoid any kind of negative bonus, but specific kinds of major mistakes means you get penalized. The vast majority of bonuses are positive though, so don't worry about it too much!

Here's a few other bonuses you might trigger:

  • Manamanager: Never collected a potion with full mana.

  • One Step Ahead: Your bottle was never more damaged than your opponent's.

  • Stun Blocker: Prevented at least 3 stuns with a special move.

  • Opportunist: Scored a bullet while the opponent was stunned, frozen or cursed

  • Specialist: All special moves actually struck a bullet

We currently have over twenty different bonuses, but we might end up adding more by the time Arcade Mode comes out. We hope you have fun discovering them all!
