We've noticed that a few players have run into some major issues when playing online. Particularly, lobbies that completely disappear from the public list, as well as some unexpected inconsistencies when playing with more than 4 players in the lobby. We've made several upgrades to the netcode that should make the game a lot more stable and less error-prone in those scenarios.
If you ever run into strange unexpected behavior while playing online, be aware that quitting and completely recreating the lobby will almost always fix all issues. Even then, make sure to let us know about the problem and we'll do everything we can to fix it!
Fixed a bug where lobbies would sometimes stay hidden even after a match is over.
Fixed a bug where the game had a chance to crash if a Kitsuro or Wandit head belonging to Player 5-8 struck a beach ball in Vigorous Venue.
Fixed an issue where other players would be displayed as CPUs in the results screen when playing online.
Steam usernames now appear in the results screen.
Fixed an issue where dialogue bubbles when chatting during a match would never be removed until the end of the round.
Fixed an issue where the "Creating Lobby" message would never be removed if the lobby failed to get created.
Fixed a bug where spectators would be unable to join an open slot after a match is over under certain situations.
The game will now detect inconsistencies with Player numbers (such as duplicate players) and attempt to fix them.
Fixed an oversight with the mask collection screen where the input for swapping characters would be the same as changing tabs if playing on controller.
