THANKS, LIGHT. — Demo Update
It's been a while, everyone! While we've been holed up in our small dark room, hiding from the sun and grinding away, has the world been doing alright out there? A game with the same gimmick as ours didn't drop while we were gone, did it? (Just imagining it gives us chills.)
We've done a HUGE amount of work this whole time, but since most of it went into the later chapters, the demo only gets this slice of the patch notes! Honestly, we did so much that this is just what we managed to dig out of our memory. We also fixed, tweaked, and polished a ton of other little things.
🌐 Localization
The game now supports a whopping 21 languages! (With a little help from AI.)
🎮 Controls / Quality of Life
Expanded gamepad options — sensitivity settings, more stable key remapping
Revamped rotation logic — smoother to use, with more ways to rotate
New interaction UI that reflects flashlight range
Story skip feature added
🖥️ Graphics / Video
Various new graphical elements
New video options
Upscaling options added (TSR + Screen Percentage) - DLSS and FSR are planned for a later update
A tiny bit of optimization (really, just a tiny bit)
🔊 Sound
SFX and BGM improvements across the board
🌸 Content
We've hidden even more flowers! You can now see your collection progress on the stage list
Character dialogue translations and revisions
🛠️ Bug Fixes
Fixed button solution detection and a number of other small bugs
It's been a long time since our last update, so even one more player picking the demo up means a lot to us. After playing, please share your thoughts with us through Steam reviews or our Discord! Praise, complaints, bug reports — all welcome.
We also have some events coming up — we'd love to see you there!
May 22–24 — BitSummit 2026 (Miyako Messe, Kyoto) on-site booth
May 28 – June 4 — Cerebral Puzzle Showcase on Steam
If you swing by our booth in person, we'll be over the moon.
Oh, and one more thing! Our game launches in September, but if you're too curious to wait, you can sign up for our Playtest! You'll find the details in our community posts. Spots are filling up fast.
See you soon! — Lightersgames
