Since then, we released 1.1 and 1.2, which finally added localization and the last bits of much needed polish, thanks to our partnership with MicroProse.

Why TFC2?

We had to strip down a lot of this game to make it possible for us to make the campaign mode we wanted in TFC2. Instead of tearing apart and breaking TFC1, we decided to start with fresh sheets, and keep this game intact.

Overall, we are incredibly proud of our journey with TFC1, from the first itch.io prototype in 2017, to the Early Access release in 2022, while staying 27 months in Early Access gathering community feedback, and then the 1.0 release in 2024. We still have a lot of love for TFC, and we are releasing another small update now. This update means that we have been working on TFC1 for over 9 years. To us, that is insane to think about! It must be difficult to make a good RTS game...!?

We thank you for being a part of our journey, and we hope to see you for the continuation of the TFC series. Can you survive a collapsing world?
