addedGameplay: Introduced “Operational Disruptions”. Occasionally, an aircraft might now arrive with a tyre fault, light fault, or sensor fault. The arriving aircraft will come with a warning message by default. Tyre faults will require a special Transporter with a “Tyre Trailer”, while light and sensor faults will require a special Transporter with an “Access Platform”. Players have two options for dealing with Operational Disruptions. The first option is to ignore the problem. In this case aircraft will order themselves the relevant Transporter from outside. It will arrive via the Airport Road Entry. In this case the Operational Disruption is just a minor inconvenience, possibly delaying an aircraft’s turnaround time. There is unlikely to be a penalty in Service Rating as Aircraft with an Operational Disruption have an increase to their Desired Service Time. Saying this, very long distances between an Airport Road Entry and an Aircraft’s Gate or Apron could result in a very long service time. The second option for the player is to purchase Tyre Trailers and Access Platforms at Hangars. These will require first the new “Transporter Equipment” upgrade. While Tyre Trailers and Access Platforms are cheap, they will occupy one vehicle slot. When needed, these will need to be picked up by Transporters from the Cargo Depot, before being taken to aircraft (we believe this creates a more interesting mechanic for layout optimization as now there is a benefit for Cargo Depots to not be too far from Hangars). When a player uses their own Tyre Trailer or Access Platform to deal with an Operational Disruption the income from the corresponding aircraft is significantly increased.
changedGameplay: Fire Trucks now perform Water Salutes for Passenger Aircraft as well as Cargo Aircraft.
addedUpgrades: Added the Transporter Equipment upgrade.
addedOptions: Added the option to turn off Operational Disruption Warnings.
