Comment section

Introducing a new and shiny comment section! Now, in the Explore menu, you will be able to read and write comments. They can be used for example to praise a Builder's work, to offer constructive and polite feedback, write a guide for other Explorers, etc…

Please note that these comments will be moderated, and disrespectful, hateful comments, or comments that mention controversial topics, will be immediately deleted. Act civilised and be nice to each other!

Better tagging, better filtering

Until now, you had to rely on your dungeon name and description to convey the theme and sort of Temple you were going far. The combat/puzzle/platforming pie chart helped a little by computing ratios based on the objects you used in your Temple, but it was often not entirely accurate, especially when it came to platforming.

No more!

The new and improved Temple Overview panel now offers the possibility to influence this pie chart. You'll get three sliders, one for each category. Putting it all the way to the left will set the corresponding ratio to 0%, while putting it all the way to the right will make it more important.

Not only that, but you can now also select a tag to apply to your Temple. You can choose among the following tags:

  • Traditional - For standard Temples you'd find in your run-of-the-mill temple crawler

  • Easy / Tutorial - For easy temples you created for learning purposes, or just to have fun!

  • Reproduction - For your attempts at re-creating Temples from other games

  • Gimmick - For when you discover a cool or niche mechanic that you want to abuse

  • Kaizo - For extra challenging Temples requiring perfect reflexes and skill

  • Troll - For when you want to be totally mean and unfair to Explorers!

Filter by tag and gameplay, or search by name

Naturally, on the exploration end, you can filter by these tags. You can also search Temples by name!

And on the sidebar to the right, you will also find more information regarding the Temple you have selected, such as its length and tag.

What's up with that thumbnail

I'm glad you ask. Introducing in this Social update the Picture Box item! This is a special item that will only be available while you are playtesting your temple prior to publishing. You can use it to take pictures, and the last picture you take will be used as your thumbnail!

First, select the Picture Box in your inventory (again, it will only be there if you're about to publish). Then, use it to take a cool shot of one of your rooms, and it will be used as your thumbnail!

Full Changelog

Changes

  • Improved loading screen when listing Temples in Explore menu; the game no longer locks

  • Implemented advanced tagging

  • Implemented searching by name

  • Implemented comment section

  • Implemented Picture Box

Bugfixes

  • Build mode now prevents you from creating too many enemies in a way that would crash the game

  • Game no longer crashes if your attempt to load or publish a Temple that has been moderated*

  • More informationIf your temple doesn't respect the Terms of Use, it will be archived by the moderation team. It has come to my attention that Temples that have been archived in such a way became corrupted and would crash the game, which is an unintended bug that has been fixed. Please note that any attempt at re-publishing a Temple that has been moderated for violating the ToU may result in a temporary, or permanent ban. If you intend on removing the problematic content and re-publish, please reach out to the mod team on Discord first.

That's it for this update, happy Temple Making!
