Tempest Tower changes
What a launch week! We showcased Tempest Tower at Gamescom as part of the Indie Arena Booth, and loved every second of it. Seeing players engage with Tempest Tower and chatting with fans was such a wholesome experience. We event had a line!
Thank you for buying Tempest Tower
Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey through Early Access and to everyone who bought the game in this last week. It means the world to us to see people enjoying Tempest Tower. Self-publishing was a brand new experience for us and the response we have gotten from our community has been incredibly rewarding. We hope you continue to enjoy Tempest Tower, and that you keep an eye out for the next Half Past Yellow game (whenever it comes).
Remember to Review
If you haven't already, we would really appreciate you leaving a review for the game. It helps a lot with discovery and lets players know what to expect from the game before they buy. Thanks in advance!
Bundle with Sulfur
We are also exicted to be bundled up with Sulfur, an amazing FPS Roguelike made by our friends over at Perfect Random. If you thrive in the hectic action phases seen in the later levels of Tempest Tower and yearn for old-school shooter gameplay, then Sulfur is probably for you.

Future Plans
Our trip to Gamescom wasn't all about showcasing. We also had meetings with potential porting studios for Tempest Tower. We don't have anything to report just yet, but we would love to see the game on consoles and we are working to make it a reality.
In terms of future content updates, we have nothing to report at the moment. We will be keeping a close eye on player feedback and providing hotfixes for any glaring issues that the community discovers in the game. If you have any feedback for us, feel free to post in the Community Hub or join our Discord.
Gamescom - Player Stats
As mentioned above, we had a lot of fun showcasing Tempest Tower at Gamescom this year. If you didn't get a chance to go to the event, you can absorb some of the experience through the Steam Event (and this news post).
It was our first time showcasing a game at Gamescom and we were so proud to be a part of the Indie Arena Booth alongside so many other awesome indies! Over 200 people played Tempest Tower and we thought it would be fun to share some of the stats from the show:
Total Jumps - 49,045
Total Gusts - 69,287
Total Deaths - 462 (an average of about 2 per person)
Enemies Killed - 265,042 (which is crazy)
Enemies Stomped - 9,837
Waves Cleared - 877
Victories - 205
Buildings Placed - 13,503
Souls Collected - 108,304
Pitch Please!
One of the main highlights from Gamescom was participating in the Indie Arena Booth Livestream. Max and Terri had 90 seconds to pitch Tempest Tower to a panel of judges and they knocked it out of the park! Tempest Tower was selected for a 30 minute showcase on the Indie Arena Livestream 🎉 You can check out the Half Past Yellow pitch strategy below and let us know what you think!
Other cool Tower Defense games!
Tempest Tower wasn't the only Tower Defense game that was being shown off at the Indie Arena Booth this year. One of the many awesome indie games that we saw in the Indie Arena Booth was Monuments to Ruin. A Roguelite Tower Defense with a really interesting exploration/fog mechanic and a vast advancements tree that looks very fun to explore. If that sounds like your kind of Tower Defense, then you can check it out here!

Another cool TD game that caught our eye was Dawn of Defense. It offers a fantastic mix of Tower Defense and RTS elements, all wrapped up in a roguelike structure. Build towers to fight enemy troops in the trenches, train warriors to retake territory on the high ground. Reclaim your lands and defeat the baneful Empire! Check out the game right here on Steam to learn more!
