But... It's not everything! We wanted to take a moment to share what we've been working on behind the scenes.

Steam Deck Verification Progress

One of our current priorities is improving Tarnished Blood's Steam Deck experience and working toward official Steam Deck verification. As we wrote earlier, we received information from Valve that the game is playable on Steam Deck, but requires appropriate fixes to receive the green mark.

What have we accomplished so far? Well, over the last few weeks, we've focused on improving readability and overall usability on smaller screens.

Recent improvements include:

• Better visibility of buttons and important interface elements

• Improved readability of various in-game texts

• New options allowing players to increase text size and UI scale

These accessibility improvements won't only benefit Steam Deck users – PC players will also be able to customize the interface to their preferences.

The challenges

While many of the technical issues are relatively straightforward to solve, adapting a complex RPG interface to a significantly smaller screen requires careful redesign work. Some UI elements need to be rebuilt entirely to maintain the level of quality and clarity we expect from Tarnished Blood. It is a time-consuming process, but one that we believe is worth doing properly.

What's next?

Our next major focus is controller support. We want playing with a controller to feel just as natural and responsive as playing with a keyboard and mouse. This includes refining navigation, improving gameplay flow, and ensuring that every action feels intuitive regardless of your preferred input method.

We're very happy with the progress we've made so far and excited to continue pushing toward our Steam Deck goals. Every update brings us one step closer to the experience we want to deliver.
