Tanxl changes
Due to some objective reasons in the early stages, updating and iterating the game’s art assets has been extremely difficult. As a result, the vast majority of development time has been focused on building the underlying engine, which has directly led to a relative lack of playable content in the game at present.
Around half a year ago, I started teaching myself pixel art, and I’ve finally achieved some barely acceptable results recently — a set of character animation frames. This is a solo indie project and not a full-time one (I would’ve starved to death long ago if it were ːsteamlaughcryː). All development time comes from after work or weekends (on very rare occasions ːcurious_mechanicː), and on top of that, my workload has been quite high over the past month or two. That’s why this set of animation sprites took me a very long time to finish.
This animation system is only a small step for the game, but it guarantees stable production and updates for visual assets going forward (the programmer has taken over the artist’s job ːcsgohelmetː)
